This seems to happen the beginning of every new year. I take to exercise machines really hard for a couple of weeks, feel better-yes-look better-yes, feel high-higher than a kite-and then I just stop out of boredom. Perhaps, I should have a partner when I workout.
With someone else there, maybe, it wouldn't be so boring on a treadmill for nearly 40 minutes or the cycle that doesn't go anywhere, the weights and my favorite part: stretching on a pink mat with a little bit of Hatha Yoga thrown in. Now that part is not boring...
After two sober sessions, these two songs ("505" by Arctic Monkeys and "Lose Yourself to Dance" by Daft Punk) I play repeatedly on GooglePlay when I am on the treadmill. I believe I have listened to Arctic Monkeys' "505" more times than anyone else in the Universe. By far it is my favorite pick me up song, favorite having sex song (these days) and now to exercise as well. I've never played it with writing fiction though because for that I prefer silence. No sound at all...no social media, no telegrams or phone calls and troubled young lovers always in desperate need...except the steady beat of my fingers on the keyboard, the sound of my breath and own heartbeat. Here's to 2018!
Oh! Have added four more songs to CharlesLPearson GooglePlay for the Treadmill completion...
