When it rains in New York it storms and puddles in the street become like crossing a riVer. With no umbrella, I got soaked to the bone...I supposed no one expected a downpour as such because we were all dashing for doorways to take cover; perhaps, we are all silly tourists madly in love with NEW YORK and element of rain shocked us....So at 3 in the morning i bought a silly emergency plastic poncho at CVS that looks quite silly...Really...I will not wear that darn thing agAin and will trash it shortly....but have to get an umbrella. One of those throw aWay kinds to be discarded as soon as I am done with it. I am not good at handling an umbrella and tend to lose balance having to navigate one. Catching a train to Westchester county later...AND it is still raining in New York. From my rear window view, Empire State Building has disappeared into fog...
